helppp
I'm doing my AS Design exam at the moment, loosely themed on 'Habitation'... I'm doing a CD design (front, back, inlay) and promotional stuff (fliers, posters) for a compilation cd called 'City Beats' or something... I needed to throw together a quick idea to stop my tutor nagging me and I came up with THIS I'm going to sort the perspective of the speakers out (and maybe make them more blatant, as some people didn't realise they are meant to be speakers) But the main question IS, i'm very limited to fonts at college (just alot of wingdings) so i've been stuck on the type. Have you any ideas for type? a gimick? a style? a specific font? something I should avoid? I've been staring at it too long... |

Andy - To be honest that type of image has been done to death... every drum & bass club in the country has a picture of a moody city in their flyers at one time or another... + your clouds are too obviously mirrored. It's a bit clichéd. You need to mix it up a bit - try to get some contrast in there... Something original. As for type - keep it simple - and as the bloke above said - avoid gimmicks or fashion. |

yeah i know its very clichéd, but at the end of the day this isn't about originality, it's about doing something blindingly obvious that my tutor will understand in a second so i can get a decent grade. and with the 'moody cityscape' theme i can blag for hours about the ideology behind it, which is what i need to get the grades. i seem to be selling my soul a bit but, when i'm out of college i can start experimenting more with more abstracty, less blatant ideas. im gonna throw in a bita' orange i think |
