Does anyone have any URL's to some interactive maps? Obviously not google maps or the AA or whatever. I need some bespoke to a particular website/company.
Here's the kind of thing I'm talking about. That one is quite bad though.
I need to do some research. Flash or HTML or java, anything is good.

I know, that's why I wondered if anyone had any other links because that one sucks. I'm looking at functionality really.
I could quite easily do it in Flash and make it look great but I want another option.

That's what the client wants, a couple of options. To be honest I'll probably just go for Flash in the end.

Well, it's just they want something bespoke and I can't code something as complex as that. I just wanted to see some examples of what others have done.

Basically because the company I work for wants to get some money!
The client wants something to show how their company spans the globe.
Right, I've got a further question to this. My boss wants me to come up with two possible versions. A cheap one and a more expensive better acting one. The cheap one I was just going to do a graphic with some rollOvers, in Flash, where the rollOvers show some text as to where the site is and when you click on it you get the full info in a side bar.
Pretty simple.
The second one I want to make something along the lines of this;

You have to use your imagination there but I'm thinking about a map of the world, where you click on the location and it zooms in, and shows the full info.
My question is, how hard do you think it would be to code something like that in actionScript?

Look through http://www.usflashmap.com/
there you will find great maps in flash with tooltips and zooming. Those are real professional maps.
Besides there is a site with flash map templates http://flashmaptemplate.com/

There is a set of maps available online: http://www.flashmaptemplate.com/flash_maps/index.htm

I do not know what you need exactly (probably you need to tell more about the project and it's purposes) but these maps may work well!

Most Maps are clickable (states or countries), you can assign URL easily, and add locations to some maps - such as world maps in flash http://www.flashmaptemplate.com/flas...maps/index.htm
