Kill flash via javascript

I am using a bit of JS to show/hide a <div> when the user clicks to watch a video. The user can click to play the flash video then click to close the player. All is well except if the user closes in the middle of the video - you can still hear it in the background because it is just hidden. Is there a better way to do this so it is not playing in the background.
LINK HERE
Thanks.
