I'm looking for some open source / creative commons smiley graphics like the ones found in MSN messenger.

I kinda like the style of the KDE critters: http://www.insert.waw.net.pl/vector/firecat_large.jpg

Of course beggars can't be chosers, so any help appreciated.

Well the smilies that come with open source forums or WYSIWYG editors are err... open source. So you can appropriate those for your own uses without any legal kickback as far as I am aware.

Kolobok smilies are great. They are small (standardish), clean and neat. Perfect for forums. For example:

Those are great yeah. A bit over kill for what I need tho, as i only need the basic smiles, embarrassed etc.

Okey, goodie. Kolobok has the ordinary ones too .. but I guess you already found what you were looking for?!

I love the finger one tho

I'm working on a profiling site so i'm gonna make an editable smilies section, this is were i can use the Kolobok select

Don't want to be using "the finger" in certain parts of the site tho
