london - help needed
I need to learn everything there is to know about web design in the shortest possible time. If you can help me by suggesting a really great course, or know someone in the profession with some free time to teach me I would be grateful for any advice! I will be in London from Sept 06. Thanks! |

And you think a professional designer will want to spend their own free time teaching a total stranger something they've made the effort to learn themselves. Try figuring out exactly what you want to learn (xhtml? php? flash?) and asking about books or going on a course. |

i know it was really vague, but i don't really have a clue (i'm sure you gathered) what I want to end up with is the ability to create professional quality web sites without having to go through a middle man. You mentioned books, can you reccomend anything? Thanks! |

Reading books before practical application is good, I reccommend you do both at the same time. In the same vain as Dusteh, check amazon.co.uk for various books. Search for web designing, basics, intermediate, web development, html/xhtml etc.... Buying a Macromedia Dreamweaver book may help you out...there are decents ones available by Macromedia. |
