1. CD - because I like to have a tangible object. I also like having liner notes, etc. Prefer listening to CDs in the car instead of having to try to drive and manipulate an MP3 player. 2. I download music from my friends hard drives. File-sharing the old fashioned way. 3. Yes, don't have a favorite, though. 4. Very infrequently. 5. I don't because I know they aren't playing anywhere near here. And I'm not much for concerts. 6. Track listing, lyrics are nice to have. Supplemental information is good, but not necessary. 7. Through friends and www.allmusic.com (they list a section of similar bands on each band page). I don't actively seek new music to listen to usually. 8. CDs: Around 200 bought, 100 burned, and 5,000 MP3s. 9. Sure. |

I do it because it's a good way to try before you buy. Also, all the stuff I keep that's copied is stuff I probably wouldn't buy anyway. A lot of it is copies of my own CDs. Or I'm going to buy in the future when money is available. |

Its a bit of both, I love music artwork, and I play my stuff on a pretty heavy duty seperates system, you definately notice the difference between an original and an average quality MP3. I remember I tried bjorks vespertine album on mp3 first, and so much detail was lost in her voice when compared to the final CD. If you only listen to things on your Pc or on an ipod on the way to work, then perhaps quality isnt so important. For anyone anal enough, you can look at what I've horded so far at: http://www.discogs.com/collection?user=Dusty |

Is that all copies you have Dusteh?? If it is respect! Didn't see the DJ Kentaro "On The Wheels Of Steel" in the Ninja section tho. Also have you seen "Scratch" a documentary by Doug Pray. It's got a section on digging, and the shop that Shadow goes too. |

Made me laugh, no mention of the fact that it's illegal in there. Scratch is an awesome film. |

There's another film in the same line as Scratch called Keepintime: A Live Recording. Havn't seen it yet but it's a perfomance by Shadow, Cut Chemist, Shortkut, etc with the drummers from the funk records that are so heavily sampled, looks amazing. |
