Screen Printing T's, your experience
I've been hunting down Screen Printers for T-shirt printing and I can't seem to get a rough price guide for any amount of T's or work. Well, not with out ringing up anyway. So I was wondering if any of you have had experience wit Screen printing and what type of costs would likely be charged. I haven't got a rough amount of t-shirts that I'd have done, but say either a one lot of 100 or 4 lots of 25. We can forget Artwork set up and that crap, and I'd be going in with one colour (obviously). Maybe my quantities are too small, I don't know but any info from people who'd had some experience, prices or ever been ripped off would be great. Cheers. |

This maybe completely useless to you... but if you're interested I've got a friend who owns a printing company here in Dubai (UAE) and if you give me some specifications, I can try and get you a quote - I'm assuming they're going to be a lot cheaper than the UK, but I don't know the market at all. I don't even know if they'd ship to the UK at this point... so this may all just be hot air... I spoke with my friend, and his quote is: for 100 pieces, one color, A4 size print... 18 AED / Piece - which is around 3 UK pounds each... for 500+ pieces... 13 AED which is close to 2 UK pounds. Other factors that may affect the price is the size and quality of the shirts... I have no clue if this is good compared to what you can get in the UK or not... There's plenty of great designers here, Arab and European, so I wouldn't limit the statement to British design in particular. But, if it interests you, there are tons of amazing British photographers and artists of other mediums here. There's just something about Dubai that really brings something out of you - it's just so fast pace and competitive, it really gets you going... so, ya, it's definately and up and coming place for design. |
