Javascripty goodness

Anyone know how mr Inman does it? A simple script mimicking this smooth scroll up would be appreciated. His jabba the script is pretty complex and flies prettty much over my head.

Would scriptalicious handle this?

I had a bash at making the inman style menu thing, i'll dig it out but I think it probably could be done with scriptalicious for a smoother scroll than I made.

Ok I managed to get scriptalicious to do what I want it to do, trouble is I need a bit of extra help....

<a href="javascript:;" onclick="Effect.BlindUp('closer'); return false;">

This link wraps its arms round a button - I need the button to change onpress, and I also need the link to change to ....

<a href="javascript:;" onclick="Effect.BlindDown('closer'); return false;">

anyone any ideas? Do I put them inside Divs then show hide the divs?

http://moofx.mad4milk.net/ - moofx is really super lightweight, and very easy - this might work for you

One for the bookmarks mate cheers. I managed to get my script working by Reading a bit more....theres a callback defined in the toggle function. seems to do the trick.

Effect.toggle('closer','BLIND'); return false;

Erm if anyone can tell me how to center that hide menu button in the fox, without it bobbing around the place - would be much appreciated.

A bit of a fudge, but why not absolute postion it relative to the containing div?

yeah - might do the piece...adding a border of 1 pixels fixes it, as well as any other html element between the divs; weird as. I eventually went for a <hr> style to make a neat line above the div.

Give the closebutton an appropriate width and go for margin:0 auto to centre it.
