Kernng Comments/Help

I have just started as a junior, taking over from the old deigner who left. Infact I'm the only designer here (in the deep end on my own - does that make me a junior?). Anyway, I've picked up a job that the old designer had started and was in the process of completing.

Now, I'm learning on the fly in this position and have to trust my own instincts (with confidence). I've been looking at this identity that has been done and I'm just not convinced with the kerning, especially between the L - A - T of the logo looks right. What am asking for is some guidence and comments from some more 'seasoned' designers. I personally believe that there should be some more space between the L - A. I've had a play with it and I'm not sure if it's right even then.

First things first though, what are peoples opinions. Am trying to better my type attribute skills and would appreciate some advice and guidence, particularly with this little bitch.

Cheers.

I'm no type sage - your comments make sense - making the spacing at the foot of the A the same between the L and the T should sort that - also the vertical spacing between the letters needs equalising - somthing like:

rightclick - RE vertical spacing - compare the spacing between I and the T and the I and N in the original - the difference is too obvious for this logo.

I think Limbo's done a good job, but the A and T look a bit close.

Had a play with it and took on board the advice. I think because ot the 'white space' between the L - A it's giving me grief. any better. I could spend all day kerning this, but I don't have the time because of a short dealine.
