Graphic, how to?

How can I do these great colors, layers, gloss and all as you see in the picture? I am using Photoshop Elements. If you recommend another software other than the expensive Photoshop 8 please do so.

Thank you!

Anyone have a better tutorial? that tutorial is confusing and not on par. I used Photoshop 9 CS2 and the tutorial is not precise enough

Haha. That's where I started. Eight 3.5" floppy disks. Those were the days.

I thought "Lens Flare" was the coolest thing ever.

looks like some gradients, a bit of outer glow and a fading out reflection of the product image that is doing it?? no?

There's something more going on in that "Standard Features" box, I'd say. Can't put my finger on what, though.

Haha. I started with v4 and Lens Flare was my 'trademark' for a year or 3 appearing in pretty much anything I did

This thread honestly makes me angry. This person hasn't bothered to even start learning the software... and then it appears they have stolen the software anyway. Someone shows them a perfectly good tutorial that achieves the gel effect perfectly, and the thread starter has the cheek to come back and say the tutorial is sub-par.

How about you go away and RTFM, then learn some basics. Then experiment, and if you still fail maybe you shoudn't be doing design.

As for the 'Standard features' box PGO, looks to me like a simple gradient fill with a 1 pixel dark border, and a 1 or 2 pixel light inner glow.

You only get the manual if you buy the software.
