Bandwidth sucking clowns...
allright, I have several mp3 files and avi files on my site, but i can link to them and hope that end users right click and download when they want to enjoy it more than once, but then i have certain users that hit my site up 5 times a day to listen to the same song. Can i force download without putting these files in to a .zip or .rar folder? |

well I'm assuming that if a person visits your site 5 times a day to listen to the same mp3, that they are actually accessing the file in their local cache... so that shouldn't be a problem for you... You can try this to force a download. Haven't tried it myself, but planet-source-code usually has some pretty reliable stuff... if this doesn't work, just do a search on their site to see other alternatives... http://www.planet-source-code.com/vb...=2183&lngWId=2 |
