the Name

I’m trying to come up with a name for an over 60's specific search engine site; it will search only other sites that are designed for the elderly. (This is course project)

I’ve come up with:

Gander (to have a gander)

butchers
Have a butchers (cockney rhyming slang for "look")
Butchers hook

Nonno (Italian for granddad)

Beemeenee
Bimini (the proposed site of the fountain of youth)

Or just

Yellow
Sunset
yesyesyes

Cheers guys, suggestions very welcome.

I like "Gander" - it works for the subject. gandersearch.com is available. I tried haveagander.com and takeagander.com

Could play on "grandparent" with gander - "grandgander" - grander gander - gander grander

geriatricoogle.com?

Could also play on senility..."whatwasilookingforagain.com"?

well, i think it should be a short name. Older people forget alot. My grandfather forgets big url's fast. Also, something catchy.

Seems you have a catchy name with Gander, and it's something the elderly could probably remember.

Start your own site...ageism.com, but you'll have to pay.

I agree that's the best of the bunch. It's a dated word for "taking a look", but keep in mind it's also a male goose. In the project, you can play on that...like Google does with googol.

Do you have something against elderly people? If so, just think - you'll be there one day.
