Be carefull using 100gsm for pages as there is a risk of 'showthrough' Consider 130gsm Silk. Dont go for gloss stock on the pages, reflections make it hard to read!

Also, I have found that anything above 76 pages is not good if you want the job 'Saddle stiched' (stapled) Pay extra and have it perfect bound (spine). You will have to create and supply the artwork for the spine. The width of the spine is determined by the amount of pages and thickness of stock. Your printer will tell you what the width of the spine artwork should be.

You spec for the printer will look something like this:

Job Title: XXXXXXXXX
Pages: 88pp + 4pp Self Cover (92pp in total)
Stock: Pages 130gsm Silk Cover 250gsm
Colour: 4 Colour throughout
Quantity: 200 off
Printing: Digital
Finishing: Perfect bound.
Delivery Date

Ey, wassallthis then? Cheers for that, much appreciated. Understand about the perfect binding, was considering wire binding (sewn with wire?) but perfect sounds better. What does pp stand for exactly? And by 200 off dya mean approx. 200?

pp means printers pages, this is not to be confused with a page because a printers page means one side of a page (make sense), and by 200 off he means 200
