Well I'm obviously not as much of a fuckwit as I thought I was!

I managed to get the whole thing working by myself. I had the odd minor error like referencing a .js file on 'submit' that I had actually named differently in the scripts folder but considering I dont know jackshit about javascript or asp it went surprisingly well.

link here just in case anyones interested

yes now I dont have any script to ensure the actual content is correct - only for the email... that's kicking in and working, right?

I think he meant it in a positive way. Any chance of swapping the order so it takes you through the form from the top down, bit confusing otherwise...

I meant the e-mail confirmation field. It popped out at me, saying I needed a valid e-mail address, or something

plus, the dreamweaver option makes it very to apply it to new forms

yeah - but if you could add an extra tag like required="true" or a special character within a valid tag to denote required it would be very handy....then the work is done via the form fields only, drop the js in and bobs your uncle.
