Tax & the US
So, I've got a couple of clients in the US. I've invoiced them before no problems, money comes through job's a good n' . Thing is it look slike one of them has a new accountant who is possibly doing things better than the last one. They want me to fill in all kinds of forms that I don't understand. I've been researching online and found a few resources that'll help from the inland Revenue (or whatever they've changed it's name to now). I tried calling them, they passed me between 6 different departments - then I gave up. I'm off down the tax office later in the week but was wondering if anyone knew of any useful information on selling services to the US and the tax implications (double tax agreements etc). Getting mightily confused, time to get a propper accountant. |

I don't know exactly what you're looking for, but www.irs.gov (Internal Revenue Service) are our federal tax people - and then there may be effects of the state your client lives in (and city, too). |
