Photoshop - Styles

Saved a layer-style, applied it to a bunch of layers. Now I need to take-off the drop-shadow from the layer-style, and have it affect all the layers that are using that layer-style.
It seems as if I can only take-off the drop-shadow one layer at a time.

using Photoshop CS 2

Do what you want to one layer, right click and copy layer style, select all the layers you want to apply the style to, right click and paste layer style.

Problem is some layers are hidden and deep within subfolders, and are only visible during ImageReady over states. So I keep on having to click the layer and paste the style. The only time I notice the drop-shadow is not gone is when it is exported and live online.

I really thought it'd be easier to have a global layer style that can be edited and automatically update.
