As the article points out, it only works on the later browsers. However, what is not pointed out, is that there are plenty of people out there who deliberately switch of JavaScript, therefore by default stopping you from opening a new window. |

It isn't supported by Netscape 4 and IE 4 - which doesn't represent a problem in my opinion because these browsers only account for 2% of users. Should the user have JavaScript turned off (10% of web users) then the script will open the page in the same window. Nothing losed, nothing gained! Andrew Parker
