hiding links from google spiders

I need to 'hide' certain links within various pages so they wont affect google ranking when they're spidered.

I've heard that Javascript and DIV's can be used to do this effectively - can anyone shed any light or point me in the direction where I might found out how to do this?

Thanks in advance

Send a message via Skype™ to lyndon
if you get "caught" hiding links on your page, expect the whole site to be banned from the SERPS.

Cheers Gray, but I want the page to index, I just dont want a certain link to be viewed and followed by spiders.

Aparrantly the link in question 'needs to be generated by Javascript'..? WTF?

How do you generate links via Javascript - or is this developer talking rubbish?
