CSS roll-overs (make another element change)

How do I make it so when I roll over one link (text) so it also changes a corresponding image which is also the same link (image) but a totally different element. Or vis versa? Can this be done with strictly CSS or do you have to use a javascript aswel? Thanks in advance for any help, I hope my question is clear.
