why won't my favicon show up in tabbed Firefox ??

This is whats in there :
<link rel="icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />

Am i right in thinking I also need to add that to all pages ? Probably....

firefox can be a bit wierd with favicons i found - have you got the latest version?

you don't need those links, FF finds the favicon by itself.
a solution to your problem might be clearing your cache

I'm on FF 1.0.4 but it still shows the old favicon ??

Won't i need some kind of link for IE though...

I really don't know about the link, but I had the same problem in FF (displaying the older favicon). I fixed it by clearing the cache

edit. I tested my site in IE (I have no link to favicon) and it displays the favicon

Give it a few hours, they can be well tempremental, I re-uploaded mine about 10 times and it wouldn't update, came back after my lunch and it popped up by itself.

You'd have to bookmark the website first. Then it should show up
