Whew...at least you DIDN'T list Dell. Their printers are (usually) free for a reason...

I've had HP and Lexmark in the past, but have recently just purchased an Epson, I much prefer the Epson, not had any problems with it, the Lexmark caused me loads of problems!

I had an HP for years and really liked it. It still worked properly when I got rid of it, but it got to the point where the PPM was just too slow. I shall try Epson when my current HP takes a shit.

Anyone use kyocera? Biggest pile of wank ever. Not only do they periodically break themselves, the same document printed on two identical models comes out not just in slight colour variations but completely different fucking shades. To top it off, their 'top colour man' (what kind of job title is that?) reckons our prints come out better than on their exhibition models...monkeys with spanners I tell you.

Dell absolutely takes the piss. The Dell 720 printer is cheaper to buy (£47) than to buy a colour and a black and white cartridge for it (£49 for the pair, otherwise £30 quid each seperate).

I've always had epson. No complaints.

Absolutely correct sir!

[edit]
I have found some remanufactured ink cartridges for the Dell 720 a little cheaper than directly through Dell -- I needed get some things printed BEFORE taking the sledgehammer to the Dell 720 and purchasing an HP or Epson. Don't know if they ship to the UK, but abacus24-7.com had better deals on Dell 720 cartridges

$53.98 = black 2 pack @ Dell
$44.98 = black 2 pack @ abacus24-7.com

Not much better...but still a savings.

I bought an Epson CX6600 a few months ago ($150) and when I print an image it's kinda stripy and whatnot. Definitely not passable as a photo.

"Photo printer" my ass.
