It does do video - you need to download an app though.

I played with an iphone for the first time yesterday. They are better than I expected actually. But even after playing with it for a while, I ended up buying a different phone. It just didn't attract me that much, and I didn't want a big brick in my pocket.

iphone is not really just a phone.

it is shit at mail though, especially for japan. They've not really thought it through. Dadako » Blog Archive » top11 missing mail features for iPhone! *update*

Haku would you really want to switch from au anyway?

The iphone is cool, good interface, but it just isn't for me.

But no, I wouldn't want to switch from AU to Softbank. Although I'm not much of an AU fan these days either. I thought hard about switching to Docomo, especially since they had a phone that's only about 1/2 the thickness of mine. But the wife is on AU, and we get free calls between us if we are on the same company, so I stuck with AU.

I like my new phone though, it's nice, thin, and easy to use.

I just read that link, and it makes me so much happier that I didn't get one. I don't think I could deal with some of those, I would go nuts.

This made me laugh:

Adding a new contact does not let you file that contact away into a group (like “family” or “bitches”).

Heh, a player at heart.

Turns out the iphone isn't all that popular here in Japan:

There is no market for apple in japan

you guys are a decade ahead of the rest of the world as it is, how is apple supposed to penetrate that kind of market?
