Definitely get an external screen. I couldn't work on anything below 1680 pixels wide. If you have the money, get the pro.

The old soldiers seem to load up CS2 apps OK in isolation. wouldn't fancy working on them myself!

Tempted to put my G5 tower on leopard while I am here knocking about... a bit scared of the big cat fooking up my mac!

What the fuck are those BIG BLACK things above the keyboards??... look like space ships!!

Back in the old days we used to call those CRT monitors.

I rock a first-generation G5 at the moment (http://flickr.com/photos/marcamos/876909320/), but will be upgrading to a MBP in a couple of weeks.

I just bought a mighty mouse and a mini-DVI to VGA adaptor, so I will soon be hooking my macbook up to my 19" TV Screen.

Should be getting a mac keyboard aswell, so I can shut the lid of the MB, but use 2 screens if it will let me.

It's been incredible, really - this is the latest project to come from my self-employment status:

Build Guild | Salem, MA | ♥ background-color:FTW;
Build Guild at Salem Beer Works (Tuesday, July 8, 2008) - Upcoming

The G5, however, will be sold off so I can re-coup some of my money spent on the MBP.

MacBooks are great. The last job I had (book publisher) we all had MacBooks with external monitors. We would run photoshop, indesign, bridge and illustrator on those things 40 hrs a week with no prob. I was shocked I worked there 2 years with the same computer and no problems. I decided to buy myself a macbook. Sure I would love to have something better but I'm confident the MacBook is enough.

I meant that I could open the lid and use that if I needed to.

I've got a powerbook G4 15 " (2 yrs old). If you had to sell it, how much would you sell it for? Hmm...I want a mac book pro now. Does it have the touch screen and does it work well? Does it have I-Sight? Does that work with I-Chat or msn and yahoo messenger?

ps I have an i-mac too...How much could they be sold for? (4 yrs old)
