Powerbook with an ADC monitor
Hmmm... thinking about ditching my G4 and getting a Powerbook. Am I right in thinking they will run a second monitor (ie not mirroring like the iBook) and if so what connection do they have as I want to be able to use my Formac ADC equipped tft. Will I need an expensive adaptor? Ta. |

Yeah, they run a second monitor properly but you need a DVI to ADC adapter which costs £75. http://www.apple.com/uk/displays/adapter/ Andrew Parker

Sorry, the "Formac ADC equipped" bit in your post didn't register. Did your display come with a converter? The Gallery 2010 and 1900 do if I remember correctly... Andrew Parker

I think all the DVI models come with a DVI to ADC convertor, but the ADC versions come with nowt. :edit: Just found a few convertors at Gordon Harwood - theres a formac one there for a good price. Seems to be styled on a brick tho. Ho hum. Last edited by tomson : 06-05-2004 at 08:23. |
