Congrats. My aim at the moment is to get one of those bad boys. Ever since I sold my windtunnel G4 a few years back (too noisy), I've been stuck with a PC at home. Mac all the way at work

I'd like to be able to order one from the Apple Store but with a Swiss keyboard layout (for French and German characters displayed on the keyboard). If I take one from the Benelux store I will get a Belgian keyboard which are crap to use. The local apple dealer here sells Swiss configs but they are fuckers to deal with so I'd prefer not to give them my money. Not possible to order at the Swiss apple store either as you need a swiss address.

Still wondering if a Macbook Pro will be the solution to go for. I'm fed up of having to go to another room to quickly check emails and forums. How do people find them from an ergonomics side? Any problems with prolonged use for apps like photoshop, illustrator, indesign with all those short cuts? Do you regret taking a MB Pro instead of a tower for instance? I'm thinking a mighty mouse is a must if you're using it for design purposes. What do others think?

The mighty mouse is shit. Design over function.

Why do you need to go to another room to check email? Can't you get a wireless router?

I prefer not to have the computer in the living room like some scruffy smelly students digs Don't have a laptop at the moment but the mobility factor is something I want but I don't want to regret spending that much money only to find out later that it's a hindrance to use for design.

As for the might mouse, I couldn't disagree more with you. I have a wired one at work and no way could I go back to the previous version. It's not perfect but much better than the previous one. I still have it configured as a one button mouse
