canon eos 450d
My sister is off to Japan tomorrow and i'm going to get her to get me the 450D. Is this a good idea model wise and getting it from japan wise? Hawken? Haku? Canon UK - EOS 450D Time is really the only capital that any human being has, and the one thing that he can’t afford to lose. - Thomas Edison

Don't know about the Japan thing but there's nothing wrong with the camera, thinking about upgrading my camera to a Canon DSLR, 450D not out yet over here though. I may get a 400D when the 450D comes out as the price of the former should drop and I don't think there's too much difference between them, whichever one I get I will get the body only as the kit lenses are shite. Remember when you enter the DSLR world the camera is the cheap part. Buying quality lenses, tripod etc is at least as, if not more expensive. |

I know about the lenses, however I have two semi-decent EF lenses from way back when already. The main differences I noticed were 10 v 12 megapixels (meh) and 2.5 inch v 3 inch screen (woo hoo!) Quote:

I've got a 400D and its magic. I think the only other thing I can add is that the new 450D has the 'Live View' feature that allows you to shoot using the LCD screen rather than the eyepiece. Must admit it doesn't bother me not having it. I'd agree with womble...pay a little extra and get it in the UK. I had to send 2 back before I got one that wasn't faulty. |

i think the new 450d has the built in cleaning system as well. could be wrong though If your colours are starting to run, let them all run, run away from you. Flux - Bloc Party
