format hd check list?

I'm gonna do a bit of spring cleaning and format my hard drive. I'm sure someone (oli?) posted a checklist or how-to a while back but can't find it. I think I've got everything covered just wanted to check.

Yep I think I've got all them. Bound to miss something though.

Just got to figure out what to do with the 13GB of mp3s I've got.

If you don't hear from me for a while after tonight, you know something went wrong.

Last time I was tinkering with hdds, I pulled the power cable out of one while it was switched on, it went pop and never worked again.

Might be worth (if you aren't already) using FDISK (if you can run DOS) to completely remove your hard drive partitions and put them back on again for a completely blank drive.

Well fingers crossed I'm just about back. And I haven't found anything I've deleted that I shouldn't have yet.

haha I'm loving it.

I'm downloading/installing all the software and folders I had previously and neatly filing them away. Wonder how long that'll last.
