Airport
I've got an old G4 at home that I want to get wireless. Anyone use one of these for an old (and I mean reaaaaaly old G4) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Apple-M8881Z...8828997&sr=1-2 running 0SX 10.3?? |

had no bother with mine (but that's no guarantee it will work with yous mac) will look out the make when i get home. only problem i have with mine is it sticks out of the card slot so looks a bit ugly. The apple ones fit inside the machine all nice... though the only apple airport card that works in my machine (pre 'extreme') is way slower 'b' wifi and double the price of what i got! |

Also an option for older, PCI G4s is grabbing a Belkin 54mbps PCI card. The chipset varies between version numbers, but those using the Broadcom chipset* are plug and play, appearing as native Airport cards, with full Airport support. (* You'll see Broadcom credited in the trademark blurb on the box, if the Broadcom chipset is used. Apple's own wifi cards use Broadcom chipsets, hence the Belkin ones appearing as Airport.)
