Well... I uhh.. am a little OCD about washing my hand and stuff lately so I'm pretty sure mine would remain white damnit. I haven't had any of the problems other people have with color changes or rubbing.. Its called being clean and taking care of your investments! |

The white Apple Bluetooth Keyboard (that was standard before the metal ones came) fills up with tobacco/etc. before you know it (fscking transparent base-finish, too) but it's fortunately easy enough to "blow" them clean again. |

Sounds similar to the standard Mac Pro keyboard. Mines a bitch to keep clean. It's basically a clear plastic tray with keys sitting in it. It couldn't be designed to collect more dust and debris if they tried. |

Yeah, mine is like that. I'm going to have to get the dyson out on it's ass. It's a fucking state. I suppose that probably speaks for me and my capability to feed myself at the computer more than anything. |

It's this keyboard that I'm referring to, and currently typing this with. (..Never mind the "suspicious" picture top-left, possibly the site's author..) Post-Postum: Figure 7 - Completion, (which is re-sizable,) gives you a good idea of the potentiality of crap accumulating over time. - His keyboard is definitely more 'plastique' than the one supplied with my Mini; dunno about the revision-story behind this; mine acquired summer (this year,) his EBay-antics; possibly well over two years ago. That's the bugger. Although the standard keyboard that ships with the Pro is wired rather than bluetooth. |

Yeah; I went with the wireless (perhaps needlessly; -It's still just sitting there,) but the craptastic effects should otherwise be the same, between the two of them.. I wanted to get the new aluminum keyboard introduced just recently, but it'd be sad to lose the dedicated volume/mute/eject buttons just for this, (as it seems they've been transferred to Fn+otherkey, or whatever, on the new ones,) which is unfortunate, IMHO, if that is the case. Looks like the hotkeys are back on the aluminum-based one, but no telling if they're still combo-driven or not. - Whether I've been looking at pre-release examples or what have you, I'm not sure, but those new keyboards look "deprived" somehow, nonetheless, (..or maybe I've just become too fond of what I'm already accustomed to, you never know..) |
