"You are bidding for a 2Ghz Intel Core Duo 20” Apple Imac in excellent condition, I have been using it for Design Work for exactly a year and it is working perfectly. Very fast machine, never had a problem with it at all. Due to job relocation to Colorado, USA in approx a month I have had to purchase an Macbook Pro. Hence I now have to sell my iMac as I am unable to take it with me. I really don't want to part with this trusty machine but I have to." I thought this will be a good buy but the only problem is the fact that there is a newer model out now, would this be classed as old material? Will this model still be supported etc in the near future? I am going to meet him tomorrow and take a look at it and have a go etc. |

if the software has legit licences you can transfer into your name with Adobe and Apple. Then the second hand machine is a ridiculous bargain. if he is fooling you with serial numbers dragged off the web or lifted from somewhere he worked... you just bought an 18 month old used iMac for pennies off the price of a new one and the ebay chap is laughing to the bank. |

i got a 'core 2 duo' imac for the junior designer in work about 6 months ago. it is a lovely lovely machine. but really needs at least 2 gig of ram to work with creative suite - so might be worth budgeting (£90ish for a 2gig memory ching) for that with your second hand machine. |

Sounds like he's used a few keygens for the software TBH. I'd get a brand spanky new one, and buy 1 or 2 of the Adobe software apps, or just go all out on a brand new imac, creative suite 3, and some choocy biscuits. [ Programmers Voice - Blog about the internet, code and development ]
