I was just wondering if u guys think 750.00 is worth paying for this?

IMAC 20" INTEL CORE DUO 2GHz, 1GB RAM, 250HD, LIKE NEW - eBay iMac, Apple Macintosh, Computing (end time 30-Sep-07 20:00:00 BST)

It has all adobe software etc. included with it, i was just wondering what you guys thought?

nah. i'd go for the low end £800 spanky new core 2 duo imac over an old second hand core duo.

the software will just be dodgy pirate stuff you can get for a fiver at the docks. Arrrr.

lol, i have just asked him and he has included all licenses and serial numbers with it, i thought it could save me some good money with all the applications installed.

not worth going for then?

if he includes fully transferred licenses it's the bargain of the year i suppose.

ask yourself why he is selling the whole lot for the price he could probably muster for creative suite alone.

I thought this will be a good buy but the only problem is the fact that there is a newer model out now, would this be classed as old material?

Will this model still be supported etc in the near future?

I am going to meet him tomorrow and take a look at it and have a go etc.

you'll not get left behind for a while. It's a averagely recent machine.

though the latest imacs will be very noticeably faster than that old core duo imac

if the software has legit licences you can transfer into your name with Adobe and Apple. Then the second hand machine is a ridiculous bargain.

if he is fooling you with serial numbers dragged off the web or lifted from somewhere he worked... you just bought an 18 month old used iMac for pennies off the price of a new one and the ebay chap is laughing to the bank.

i got a 'core 2 duo' imac for the junior designer in work about 6 months ago.

it is a lovely lovely machine. but really needs at least 2 gig of ram to work with creative suite - so might be worth budgeting (£90ish for a 2gig memory ching) for that with your second hand machine.

Sounds like he's used a few keygens for the software TBH. I'd get a brand spanky new one, and buy 1 or 2 of the Adobe software apps, or just go all out on a brand new imac, creative suite 3, and some choocy biscuits.

Get him to send you a photo of the license keys or some kind of evidence that they're legit copies otherwise I wouldn't touch it with a shitty stick.
