printer prints washed out from macbook
I recently got a macbook, it's good but had never printed from it, tried to do a full colour print the other day and it was totally washed out. The printer in question is an Epson Stylus C66, I'm guessing I need to calibrate it, but how? help please, keep it simple |

Doubt it's anything to do with the macbook, check the file is CMYK and run a few tests on the printer itself, all the ink tests and see if it needs anything replenishing or cleaning. |

I also doubt it could be the Macbook at fault. Printing technology depends on having a decent driver to send colour data to the printer. And I think the best results are to be had by leaving the image in RGB mode and letting the printer software handle the conversion. I've tried converting to CMYK first to try to maintain some kind of realistic work flow but the very best results (which also compare to the end product from a printing house) are from RGB files. hmm well when you go to print it should automatically give you a bunch of options about the printer, failing that go to epson site and see if they have any downloadable support for the printer they're usually pretty good about that sort of thing. |
