Amazon.co.uk: Philips MMS460 Surround Sound PC Speakers 5.1: Electronics & Photo aren't the most stylish looking things, but they're crisp and loud, and considering the price, a freaking bargain. Everyone that comes round thinks it's an expensive setup. |

What is you current budget to spend on speakers? Look into Klipsch Promedia 2.1 or 5.1's depending on what you're willing to spend. If you're going to go with the Promedia, stay away from the GMX. Also, a decent soundcard would help improve sound quality. You would have to choose a soundcard based on what you're going to be using it for. If you do heavy gaming, the X-FI would be the best choice because of its EAX support. Go with either the XtremeGamer or if possible XtremeMusic (this one is hard to find but it's prefered). Just stay away from the XtremeAudio. If you like music playback, go with either the Bluegears B-Inspirer or the Sondigo Inferno. Both offer digital output which would allow you to upgrade to a stand alone reciever for a home entertainment system in the future. Either ones would coss <$100 but will greatly improve the sound quality of your speakers. Quote:
