I usually hate the floor-mats that come with my cars... so I buy new ones.

No, Netgear LAN type router. No software required and it was still a pain to configure even though the model was apparently recommended for Macs.

Spent several hours eventually it actually worked. Folowed all instructions etc, Hardly user friendly though from that experience..and Windows can be bad enough,

Clearly an informed and useful opinion then :P - Not really a defence of mac though, I think router set ups are buggered with pretty much everything

Like with all things you get used to something with time, and the meese are much better now in terms of function (assuming you're referring to the single click older apple mouse), although the new mouse is a bit trigger happy and I find I have to deactivate a few of its abilities heh.

LAN routers generally aren't governed by the type of computer they're attached to. They're not like printers or other hardware that need drivers. If you had trouble configuring it, it's the router or your ISP that has the problem. Actually I also have a Netgear LAN router. I clicked one button (the auto-setup button), waited about 20 seconds and everything was done. Not sure why you had issues.

I'm not the biggest fan of the mighty mouse, although the 360 scroll-ball is nice and the side buttons (albeit a bit sensitive) are so bloody useful with Exposé - to the point where I often find myself squeezing the sides of my mouse when I'm on my Windows Box and cursing because they're not there. I didn't actually realize until I bought one, that although it's a single solid unit, it actually has sensors that determine whether you pushed down the left or right side, and so can function just like an ordinary 2 button mouse.

I think it's a satisfactory conclusion to that particular discussion. Next.
