the software is fine..... just alot of adobe stuff is still not native. start up is slow compared with native software. but for things like photoshop it isn't that bad just depends what you are used too. creative suite cs3 comes out in 2007 spring time and that would be sweet as fuck. I have the 17inch on order and should get it in two weeks ish... what are you expecting to use it for? |

We have a mac pro here and it's sweet. It's so much faster on anything apart from CS2 stuff. But it's not super slow on CS2 it just take a little while to load up like cocknose said. Haven't tried Flash on it yet. Still use the a powerbook for that. |

My MacPro arrived yesterday, too late to turn back now I willl be using MacPro for pre-press work. I will be using a lot of Illustrator, photoshop and other pre-press software where i load gig of image & tons of illustrator files. No multimedia work for the moment. Will there be an issue when saving files / transferring files to another computer or server or PC because the different way MacPro handling bits ? Is there guideline to look out for? Btw, why can't i see "open using Rosetta" at Photoshop 7 and other Adobe software infor windows? |
