has anyone ever had problems with their modem? I have a broadband connection and 9 times out of 10 it is well shit!!!... which makes me feel that i just don't have enough power but then occasionally it's fine, downloads and uploads how it is supposed to... all quick and nifty... then the next day its back to being naff. Anyway do you think my modem could be pants?... cause it did come with the flat and is abit dusty, but everything flashes fines.... any suggestions... anyone |

Best bet is to forget the modem and get yourself a router such as a Zoom ADSL X4 or such - set the username and password using the web browser and you're off; no software to install and no drivers to get corrupted. You just hook it up via an ethernet cable and make sure your TCP settings are set within the routers IP range. Effervescing Elephant
