GRAPHIC DRAWING TABLET Purchasing advice

I have been doing research on some graphic drawing tablets for my pc, and I found this on ebay for about $20 (add another $20 for shipping).

It is pretty comparible to the wacom pad just waaaay cheaper. 512 levels of pressure. Comaptiable with Photoshop and other graphic programs and a bunch of little tiny other features (quick launch buttons for programs).

All in all it looks great on paper. I just want a professional's opinion.

I guess the cons to it is that the pen takes AAA battery and there is no mouse included. No a real biggie in my opinion. If anyone can give advice about this before I buy I will appreciate it greatly.

i got a Wacom Intuos3 A3 tablet.... which although cost me quite a bit.. is worth every penny... i think the difference between many of the cheap tablets and the expensive ones is tracking sensitivity and pressure sensitivity....

have a look on eBay for a second hand Wacom tablet... you can get a nice A5 one on there for about £100.... trust me... you'll notice the difference....

I use an A6 Wacom Intuos2. It's too damned small! I'd recommend getting an A5 or bigger based on my experience with this one.

well... I bought it. in spite of what everyone said and recommended. I know Wacom is great but hey, I'm too broke. From what I know (not much) it works great.

wacom is considered to be a 'pro' tool...
graphics tablet
or do your own search in the hardware forums.

(edit: out of curiosity... who voted 'other'?
