new intel mac pro notebooks

anyone got one?

After killing my rather expensive HP laptop, which was the bomb, I have to look for a new powerhouse to watch my porn on.

My old HP was a p4 3.2 with a 128mb gforce5go. Screen was about 17" and the whole thing weighed about 7kg.

I've got my eyes on the 15" mac, only weighs in at 2.5kg which is a real plus point. I was wondering how you owners find the batter life and heat of the machine under graphics work?

You could fry an egg on my old notebook. and the fans cooked my leg meat. I checked out one at the apple store today and the fan was under the monitor, does this really work??

Lastly, have you run windows + games of any variety? I wouldn't mind giving HL2 a few rounds again.

cheers.

1. My MBP runs well, software is still to catch up though.
2. If the battery is charging, airport on, and I'm working. I can't have it on my lap (ball-fry)
3. It's a loverly peice of kit.
4. Never put Windows on it. Good god man.

I'll probably be laughed off the forum, but I've just got a latitude D620 - 14.1" widescreen - core duo. It's really light and won't burn your legs, and has really good build quality.

I haven't tried any games on it yet, but going by the specs it should do well.

Never buy first revision Macs - always crap - takes them a while to iron out the problems
