Never used one but would still recommend getting one. At home I use my laptop so if the power goes out the battery takes over. At work if the power goes out we switch to generator in less than a second, (still slow enough to lose whatever you were working on but). |

I use on of these for my work machine & home: http://www.apc.com/resource/include/...sku=BF350%2DUK Simple, unobtrusive, does it's job and doesn't take up much space. Won't let you work for long without power, but will stop you losing your work to a glitch. |
