http://apple.com/uk/macbook/ or at the store really liking the black model, but not sure about the premium on it (an extra £200 for 20gig more hdd space and a black finish). Last edited by cam : 16-05-2006 at 09:38. |

cant be bothered with apple anymore really. you buy a £2k computer on monday and by friday its outdated and worth half what you paid. they're getting carried away with the whole intel thing. |

No, believe it or not I used to have a PC and I seem to remember faster processors coming out every other week, probably the reason Apple was left lagging. And btw, I'm not offended, I just thought what you said was a bit strange. Computers, whether PC or Mac never hold their value and they're constantly being updated. I think the black version looks shit btw. Andrew Parker

A testament to the benefit of custom built PCs with quality parts and a well maintained installation of Windows XP vs. manufactured PCs from any company. Anyway, that black MacBook looks mighty slick. |

I prefer white ones - old habits... never seen this done in Qtime before: http://www.apple.com/macbook/gallery/qtvrblack.html Clever - but at the same time a bit shit |

I bought one a while ago I like it! I've not had any problems atall. It runs great, very fast! People were saying that because it's intel, the software would run slowly on it? Well I've done some pretty heavy stuff in photoshop and all seems to be fine, it even renders models in cinema 4d very fast. Everything seems fine, and I really like it |

I'm thinking about getting the Mac Book.. curious tho, would like to ask you all some questions on the new Mac Books. 1. can a Graphics card be upgraded on th Mac Book (not Pro)? 2. Will it be durable for use with Graphic work.. THX! |

Depends how urgent a move over to Mac is. If it's urgent, get one now, otherwise wait but like everyone says, you could be waiting for ever for the perfect computer. Soon as these gen 2 machines come out (whenever that might be, if it is indeed true), then rumours of a better machine will soon start to circulate. |
