Tired of scrubbing my balls
Time to trade in the old Mac 'hockey puck' Apple mouse for something a bit more progressive. I'm looking for optical + scrollwheel + 2 buttons (at least) + usb. Wireless is excess to requirements. I'm also not looking for something that is a decent item that won't require a bridging loan and won't shame me at parties. So, any recommendations? TIA, guys and gals. |

i've been using one of these http://www.johnlewis.com/stores/prod...&trsid=1434&m= works fine with OS 9 & 10, has 2 buttons and a scroll wheel is USB and can withstand being thrown against walls, doors etc |

Towards the more expensive end of the mouse market in the UK. + not available for OS X (according to the Amazon.co.uk tech data sheet) Quote:
Imho, deep inside 'taking the pi** territory'. The price is by no means out of reach, I just resent paying £50 for something when I can pick up a small-name branded, but equally good 5-button, scrollwheel, optical mouse for WindowsXP (serial) for less than £10. I may be a Mac user, but I like a bargain as much as the next bloke. |

I think wireless might be on the cards. Ignorant eejit that I am thought that wireless in OS X meant that I needed Apple Airport doodads, which I divves nah have. ONly now do I realise that wireless mice also come in 'mouse + usb basestation' form too. Dagnammit and other colloquialisms!! I can see myself spending more than I consider to be reasonable and getting something stoopid like a Logitech MX700. |

L think Logitech's are way overpriced! (besides - the design is not as great as they might think it is! /imo) would never dream of buying one... nor Micro$oft! probably something alternative like Chic... ...

there's a massive difference in the usability of a good mouse. cheap is ok for ms office monkeys but if you're using it all the time you will really appreciate a quality instrument. |
