TFT vs CRT

I'm fed up of my 19inch TFT not producing "true colour"...and when viewing the designs on other pc's, it is totally different...

Its this TFT, or all TFT's. I'm buying a 19inch CRT!

All depends on how much you're willing to spend. If you get a TFT for a couple of hundred its bound to be abit shit.

Get yourself a Mac.

Unless you really need to save space, I still say go for a CRT.

What other benefits to TFT screens have?

I like the way this one thinks.

Although, as Narate said, those Mac cinema displays are lover-ly. Boss has one. Purty.

Tho I hear the Dell widescreen LCDs use the same screen. They're cheaper too. A lot cheaper.

They do indeed. The Mac displays look much nicer, but if you are happy to pay hundreds of pounds more for looks alone, you've got more money than sense (unless you are really really rich in which case, who cares about a few hundred quid )

Aren't TFT's supposed to be better for your eyes?

Quote:
An LCD monitor is more comfortable to use all day, since each pixel of the screen is controlled by its own transistor, and stays lit up until it gets a signal to change it. Only what is changed is updated. This means there is no flicker and a sharper image, which is considerably better for your eyes.
