Never in a million bollocks is that a painting. In the close up you can see the depth of field change between the nose and ears, unless they painted it to look like a photo :/

Bollocks indeed. The only painter i've ever seen pull off photorealism is Ingres, but even with his work you can still tell from the edging close up. If that's not photoshop Da Vinci was a monkey.

Yeah, that's no painting. As someone who's gotten a degree in art and only been forced to do 2 portraits, I can honestly say that the "progress" images shown are exactly NOT how anyone would or even could paint a portrait.

Bollocks, bullshit, whatever you want to call it.

I wouldn't call Ingres photorealism...now...Chuck Close, on the other hand...

Hehe. Yeah. I'm not a huge fan of his, but I admire his discipline. Those paintings are like 12 to 20 feet tall. He would draw a grid over a photo and do that whole thing, square by square, until he got in a horrible accident and lost the finer use of his hands...now he has some special attachment and does this...

No artist who could paint photorealistically would complete the head before touching the rest of the body.

It's bullshit.
