Scott Hansen

A Californian based artist whose work fits perfectly into this post. He's a pure genius with negative space

Not sure about Scott Hansen. I have a love/hate thing with this guys work as I feel he regurgitates a lot of the same stuff, almost template-like. I do however like a lot of the stuff he references though. Meh, totally indecisive I know.

never heard of any of them.

probably should do some research as agencies always seem to ask "who're your favourite designers" and tbh i never really know what to say.

guess that's the downside of coming into the industry from a multimedia education as opposed to something like graphic design where i imagine you get taught about all the history.

Love Karel Martens' use of color, and Jacqueline Casey who takes a much more subtle approach with color, but still produces striking designs with use of shape and spacing.

All the designers featured in this thread are superb though, and provide much inspiration.

Peter Saville

I don't like everything he has done but most of it is pretty impressive.
His graphics was pretty gutsy for the time as well – some really unusual ideas

I believe that every designer has his own perception about the fashion as its all depends on many more things that one can only imagine.
So designers are the innovators who are engaged in designing and mixing the colors and come up with new colors, this is an ongoing process which never ends.
Clothing is one of the basic necessities of humans, and designers are producing them in very elegant way

Hate being one of the first in the forums on a morning, have to clean up all the shit deposited during the night by freaks. Like being a cleaner in Manchester city centre on a Sunday morning.

That is the same time I am tired of working and look to DT for some entertainment only to find 16 posts from somebody on a fast track to being banned. and usually nothing else.

This guy was more a NZ artist but did some design stuff along the way.
Quite like some of it.
