This campaign is getting tired. The Bravia ads weren't bad, but this one just makes me think 'big deal... another Sony, let's release something into a street" ad. I felt the Bravia campaign really helped cement the brand as an aspirational product. This one doesn't make me want to buy a Sony camera in any shape or form.

It's sustaining the brand though and keeping Sony as "high brow", if you cast your mind back they were seen as over-priced and under-specced not so long ago.

Also the reach of these ads post-launch is quite astonishing... the general public love them?!

We all know it's not about buying the product anymore, the campaign's still a success IMO... they should perhaps move the concept on a little now though, I agree with that.

I think though that people will watch this one largely because of the Bravia campaign - not because it's any good in its own right. If they continue to release fairly dull, mediocre ads, they'll simply wear out the goodwill they'd previously built up. And then the reach will disappear. Impressing people people the first time, with a big budget ad is fairly easy. With each successive iteration it gets harder and harder.

a couple of bottles of matey, a king size bed sheet and getting the public to photograph and film it for you, total cost about £27.36

Tell me why I should buy your cameras.

That would be a good ad.

Well said, totally in agreement with you. Had me in "omg" mode for the duration, wanting to be there. Although, as stated, it doesn't make me want to buy the product, it's kept my awareness of it.
