Well, depends... those letters does not look like the ones you just "write", they vary in size, depending on their "neighbour letter", and scale differently through-out the image... They also show no particular sign of stroke.. I would say each letter is drawn, so in the end, I would agree in this being a hand drawn artwork, eventhough it is created with letters...

Very nice work!

Can you believe I hadn't seen the Godfather until this weekend. Loved it, of course.

I got the Trilogy box set at Christmas and yet I've still not sat down to watch any of them. Shame on me.

Isn't there an image below the type? In other words it isn't made exclusively out of the type.

If so, it takes the lustre of it in my humble opinion.

Take a closer look at the letters, and see how the change in shape, size and amount of black in order to create the image... No image underneath the text...

I have. take a closer look and you will see what I mean. I am not knocking it, but amazing is a very strong word. This is very good, but not amazing.

Yes the type does work with in roughly in conjunction the tones, but take a closer look, it has an image underneath. Without that it would be a vague portrait.

*Edit: Took out the 'not'*

I am sorry, but I cannot see any signs of an image underneath... I believe that this is in fact handmade... what indicate that there is an image, besides that it is a very nice looking portrait? To me it looks like the variation in the letter sizes, tones etc. is "enough" to create this effect...I need better proof of this being created by an image underneath, than you doubting that this is handmade
