Not a fan. I think they have gone way over the top with gradient and fade effects. Also there is far too much whitespace. It looks like the emphasis is more on wowing people with garish visual effects than inviting people to read the content. Which seems odd considering this guy wants to be president. |

His logo is pretty good - none of them rotten stars in it. Amazing creativity, assuming it was Made in USA. My free fonts www.utfi.net

Newsbiscuit has this breaking news: Obama unable to explain what these elections are about Barack Obama’s success in the American Primaries met with an unforeseen setback yesterday when he was unable to answer a simple enquiry about the point of all these elections and how exactly they worked. British journalists following the American elections apparently witnessed a historic result last week when Obama was elected something-something of Iowa with the result that he may be elected to the post of Official Primary Caucus of New Hampshire or something. But when Mike Harris of the BBC asked the Democrat front runner to explain what precisely was happening at the moment, the Illinois senator stumbled and prevaricated. ‘Er, well all the registered Democrats go on a man-date with their delegates which a lovely convention except in some states where you can even be a registered publican or others where you don’t have to be at registration at all… no hang on, that doesn’t sound right…’ Rival candidates leapt upon Obama’s confused answer as evidence of the candidates apparent youth and inexperience; ‘This shows that Obama does not a sufficient grasp of the issues to become President’ said former first lady Hillary Clinton. ‘Everyone knows that the primary colored caucasians go to the national conventions on a Super Tuesday, no, wait, I know! The winner is the one with the most balloons…’ Meanwhile the Republicans have agreed to do away with the whole charade. ‘We thought it would save a lot of time and effort if we just all got out our bank statements and whoever was richest automatically got the nomination. The result would be exactly the same, but we could stay at home between now and November and just read all those comedy Christmas books we got saying that George Bush is really dumb.’ said John McCain. ‘This one has a cartoon of him looking like a chimp!’ Posted: 8 January 2008 by newsbiscuit My free fonts www.utfi.net

Well, he has perfect teeth too and you couldn't get away with that, either. Personally, I hope he wins in NH and everywhere else, although I do not believe the Pres of the US has any more power or influence than does Queen Liz in the EU. US influence rests firmly in the hands of the military industrial complex which Eisenhower warned about in the 1950s and they certainly have no intention of altering US foreign and internal policy merely because of a change of Pres. The only thing the Merkans are voting for is a change of mouthpiece: do they want their govt to be represented by a young man? As for me, in my comfortable Nordic welfare state where almost everything works perfectly and we all get on with everyone on an equal basis as far as foreign policy is concerned, I'd prefer not to hear anything more about the US elections until January 2009 when the result is declared. The current charade is utterly tedious and futile but will make headline news in every bulletin for the next 360-odd days. My 2 eurocents! My free fonts www.utfi.net

I never felt Karjala was really mine, anyway. Most "real" Finns don't want it back, either, because it would mean taking the current Russian population too. And we need half a million Russians in Finland like... words fail me. Well, as an eestlane, you know what I mean. My free fonts www.utfi.net

I like the logo treatments on that blog Limbo posted. It's got a kind of playful innocence about it. I really believe this guy could do some good. He's either has more integrity than the other candidates (with the exceptions of Paul and Kucinich) or he's a very good actor. I still have a horrible feeling though that he's walking a very dangerous path. I think if he does get the presidential nomination and looks like he might win, someone will either assassinate him, or make an attempt to do so. There are enough ultra-right wackos in the US that still would never stand for a black president and would be willing to take radical steps to prevent it. Furthermore he's made a big point recently of his policy of 'getting rid of America's addiction to oil'. Taking on the giant corrupt cartel that is the oil industy doesn't improve his safety either. |

Love the site, support the candidate! As with Hunch, I fear that he would be a prime target for assassination. Though I disagree with your assessment of Ron Paul. Although, I guess he has integrity in the sense that he's just about as stubborn as George Bush and about fifty times as insane. Lalalala, free market, lalala, I'm not listening, lalalala. Quote:

I don't intend getting into a discussion about something which should be pretty plain to someone as intelligent as yourself, PGO, but saying "The President has immense influence - often regarded as the single most powerful person in the world. One word: Iraq" displays a certain naiveté on your behalf. Do you seriously believe the Iraq war is the sole decision of one ignorant bible-basher whom no other party could deny? But if you personally feel more comfortable with the myth of "most powerful person in the world", don't let me dissuade you. It makes not one iota of difference. (Same goes for me, of course) And now we hand you back to DT. My free fonts www.utfi.net
