Basic Commercial and Akzidenz Grotesk are exactly the same fonts.
Exactly the same means that both fonts (Adobe's "Akzidenz Grotesk" and Linotype's "Basic Commercial") have completely identical glyphs and that both fonts are completely identical "font software programs".

The rest is copyright stuff.

Anyhow, I could afford only two styles of basic commercial, the Berthold set is really too expensive.
