Can someone help me out by telling me how is the James Brown poster that Limbo showed made. I guess it's in Illustrator, but how is the "Face made of text" achieved? A tutorial or something? Which tool is used? I really like that style, but have no idea how to achieve it. |

You could, or you could hand draw it and trace/perfect in Illy? "Transforming it to fit" makes it sound so easy, heh. |

I doubt that it is "transformed to fit"... the guy probably had a reference photo, drew the areas needed to create the face, and then hand drew the type inside these areas... then he took it to the next level in illustrator... Stuff that look really nice, is rarely acheived by "easy steps" such as filters and stuff.. So my advice to you, if you want to learn to make nice work, is to master the pen as much as the pen-tool... both analogue and digital skills are important |
