I think there's too much going on, but that's just me.

I like the simplicity of it, I am leaning away from flash as an entire website myself I prefer to use technologies such as ajax to achieve visual effects as much of the content like text is still accessible to searchengines, and tends to collapse gracefully for browsers that can't support.

yeah i feel the same way.. They have some really great work in their portfolio i just think their website looks a little outdated. There's something about it that makes me dislike it just a little bit. I still dont understand why people make entire pages flash, but hey, to each their own.

But, this site is a 'great use of flash'

Too much going on indeed, and it looks a little bit outdated, too.

the effects are a bit cheesey, annoying how the font size is so small yet there is so much space wasted on the viewport.

awful execution, all that over the top flash animation detracts from the thumbnails of their work, which to allow for it, has been reduced to the smallest possible size.

I've seen much better uses of flash than this

Hardly, otherwise you would have posted the urls here, knowing you to be the generous, sharing kind of guy we have known to admire and respect.

Rolling on the floor actually laughing my derrière off.

I don't ever understand the outdated remarks. Who the hell chooses what's "in" with websites?

The design is nice, but yeah, detracts from the work itself a bit.

Oli, why do you think it's dreadful? I thought it presented all it intended quickly and efficiently - unusual for Flash - and I was impressed by the innovative rotating method of transition.

I'm not a huge fan of Flash but I thought this one deserves a gold star.

Jerky movements, unnecessary flash wank.
The design and type are poor and look very dated,

I dont like flash at the best of times but this just seems poorly executed.

Something like this OurType. Fine Type from Europe is what I consider a good use of flash.

Been there before, being a font freak, but I found it a sod to use and navigate. Oh well, chacun à son goût, as the Frogs say.
