No problems

I'll speak as a consumer here because as I understand, that's where your interest lies. The 'other' reasons are mostly the ones I gave in the post.

To elaborate:
Everything I observe gives me an impression - which is normal I guess, for anyone. These products repulse me because they are so sterile and mind-numbing. I can't stand to look at something that seems so bland and featureless (let alone live with it) - it's un-natural. I envision living spaces as areas which are, well, homely. What I don't think is very homely are rigid, metallic applicances and pasty, blank and blocky surfaces and colours. Why? Because they're not natural. I could never feel at home somewhere which is so sterile, monotonous and removed from natural differentiation that it would drive me insane. It would be like living in an office cubicle. I need chunky, solid, cozy furnishings, and natural spaces and lighting.

I could go on, but you're probably getting the picture by now

yeah but.........do you like the site design and how it all fits together with the product. There is no way as a designer you can say that the designer has not done really well to follow through the clean design of the products to the site design. They compliment each other. So i think its a job well done.

Sterile, mind-numbing, bland and featureless to some, quite the opposite to others. Whilst I appreciate your opinion I think it's that kind of backward thinking that leaves Britain in the darks ages where residential architecture is concerned and why they are still knocking up thousands of mock tudor dolls houses that are not only a danger to the environment but an insult to the eye....

I'm not saying everyone should be of that opinion, it's just mine. I agree that fake and tacky isn't good.

I don't think I'm backward thinking, I just like things with character. Houses and furniture can be new, stylish and progressive whilst still having a character or personality about them. For example that mill house - why build something that is grey and cemented on the outside and so detatched from nature on the inside in such a beautiful area? I'd much prefer a house that makes the most of the natural surroundings.

Yeah I'm in Australia, so I'm sure cultural differences come into play when it comes to these sorts of preferences too.
